Welcome to my personal website!

My name is Àdel and I am currently an MSCA Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Padova, where I work under the supervision of Prof. Carlo Janna. My research lies at the intersection of Numerical Linear Algebra, High-Performance Computing (HPC), and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
I obtained my PhD at the Heat and Mass Transfer Technological Center of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, where I was mentored by Prof. F. Xavier Trias and Prof. Assensi Oliva. In it, I developed scalable Poisson solvers for incompressible CFD simulations on modern supercomputers.
More recently, I have worked on GPU-accelerated implementations of Algebraic Multigrid (AMG) preconditioners as part of an Italian PNRR project led by Prof. Gianfranco Bilardi.
In my current project, EXtreme-scale Algebraic MultiGrid for next-generation nuclear simulations (EXAMG), I am developing specialised AMG techniques for CFD and Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) simulations, with applications to plasma modelling in fusion reactors.
